摘要: In this thesis, we discuss the reliability and sensitivity analysis of a repairable system with M operating machines, W warm standby machines, and R servers in which the balking and reneging of machines are considered. It is assumed that failed machines balk (refuse to join) with a constant probability (1 − b) and renege (leave the queue after joining) according to exponential distribution with parameter r. The failure times of an operating machine and of a standby machine are assumed to be exponentially distributed with parameters λ and α, respectively. The service time is also exponentially distributed with parameter μ, and the service pressure coefficient is considered. We develop the expressions for the system reliability and the mean time to system failure (MTTF). Several cases are analyzed graphically to study the effects of different parameters on the reliability and the MTTF. We perform a sensitivity analysis for changes in the reliability and the MTTF along with changes in specific values of the system parameters.
