摘要: Based on the service-sector industries in Taiwan, the paper combines the eclectic theory and the characteristics of service-sector industries to analyze the impact of entry mode selection which is influenced by its factors of characteristics. In addition, a test is derived to check if the operating performances of the industries whose entry modes are consistent with the predictions are better than that of the contradicted industries. For the sake of investigation, the top 1000 service-sector industries were concerned and then mail surveys were conducted. First, as to the ownership advantage, it was found that the internationalized experience and the advantage of firm asset value tend to have positive correlation with the control level of the entry mode significantly. Second, as to the location advantage, there is a sufficient evidence to indicate that market demand and competition positively relate to the control level of the entry mode; the psychological distance, however, negatively dose. Also, the contract risk and the specific knowledge associated with the internalization advantage and inseparability associated with characteristics of the service sector all have statistically positive correlation with the control level of the entry mode. In addition, the indication supported by a statistic test is that if the entry modes decided by the industries are consistent with the predictions evaluated by the eclectic theory and the characteristics of service sector, then these industries have better performances than those industries contradictory to the theoretic predictions do, which confirms the assumption claimed previously and provides managers a theoretic method to determine the practical entry mode.
本研究係以台灣服務業廠商為研究對象,使用折衷理論與服務業特性之整合分析架構探討台灣服務業廠商海外市場進入模式之決定因素對其選擇進入模式的影響。同時進一步探討當服務業廠商之進入模式與本研究所提出的理論架構預測一致時,其經營績效是否會優於未依據本研究架構選擇進入模式的廠商。 本研究問卷發放係採用郵寄方式,並以千大服務業作為研究對象。實證結果顯示,在所有權優勢方面,服務業廠商的國際化經驗、公司資產優勢皆與進入模式呈現正向顯著關係。區位優勢方面,市場需求且競爭情形與進入模式之控制程度呈顯著正相關;心理距離則與進入模式之控制程度呈現顯著負相關。內部化優勢方面,契約風險以及知識專屬性皆與進入模式之控制程度呈現顯著正相關;服務業特性方面,不可分離性與廠商之海外市場進入模式之控制程度呈顯著正相關。 本研究亦發現當服務業廠商在做進入模式決策時,若與折衷理論與服務業特性之整合分析架構所預測的進入模式一致時其經營績效會優於不是依本研究架構所選出的進入模式之廠商。故本研究證實了好的理論就是能夠與實務相契合,同時提供給企業經理人一個兼具理論與實務性的概念性架構,使其做進入模式選擇時,有一個嚴謹且具系統性的決策過程與依據。
