摘要: 本研究利用光學顯微鏡與掃描式電子顯微鏡對台灣所產四種列當科植物(Orobanchaceae):野菰(Aeginetia indica L.)、丁座草(Boschniakia himalaica Hooker & Thomson)、假野菰(Christisonia hookeri C. B. Clarke & Hooker)與列當(Orobanche caerulescens Stephan & Willd),進行種子形態發生之比較,以作為日後進一步研究之參考。由於假野菰材料不足,故僅知其胚珠構造與胚乳發育型式。結果顯示,所有種類之胚珠皆屬於倒生型,由單層珠被圍繞胚囊而成。野菰、丁座草與列當之種子主要因珠被膨大而呈橢圓形或扁圓形;其成熟種子之表面具網格花紋。關於胚的發育,野菰的胚發育為茄型,丁座草與列當為柳葉菜型;而成熟的胚皆缺乏一般雙子葉植物胚所具備之器官與莖頂分生組織。胚乳發育方面,所有種類皆屬於細胞型。野菰、丁座草與列當之胚乳皆有吸器、峽與儲藏性組織之分化;而鄰近胚的儲藏性組織於發育過程中具細胞瓦解之現象,顯示胚乳能提供養分供胚發育時利用。有關種皮之發育,野菰、丁座草與列當皆屬於非複分裂型,其成熟種子之種皮僅由網狀厚壁化之外側表皮細胞組成,其餘組織則瓦解。
The aim of this study was to compare the seed morphogenesis of 4 species of Orobanchaceae in Taiwan, Aeginetia indica L., Boschniakia himalaica Hooker & Thomson, Christisonia hookeri C. B. Clarke & Hooker and Orobanche caerulescens Stephan & Willd, using the light microscope and the scanning electron microscope. As for C. hookeri, due to lack of samples, only the structure of ovule and the development of endosperm were investigated. The results indicate that ovules of the 4 species are anatropous and composed of an embryo sac, surrounded by a single integument. Seeds of A. indica, B. himalaica and O. caerulescens are elliptic or oblate, mainly due to enlargement of the integument. Surfaces of mature seeds exhibit reticulately sculptured. On the types of embryo development, A. indica is Solanad type, whereas B. himalaica and O. caerulescens are Onagrad type. At maturity, embryos of the 4 species lack the meristematic organization typical to dicotyledonous plants. On the types of endosperm development, all the 4 species are cellular type. For A. indica, B. himalaica and O. caerulescens, there are differentiations of haustoria, an isthmus and a storage tissue in the endosperms. During the development, the storage tissue adjacent to the embryo degenerates, indicating that the endosperm might provide nutrient to the developing embryo. On the types of seed coat development, A. indica, B. himalaica and O. caerulescens are non-multiplicative. At maturity, the seed coats are composed only of the outer epidermal cells with reticulate thickening whereas other tissues have degenerated.
