摘要: 本研究以胃內含物分析法研究武陵地區之盤古蟾蜍、斯文豪氏赤蛙與梭德氏赤蛙之食性,並探討攝食策略與生殖行為及遷徙模式之間的關係。結果發現三種青蛙的食物都是以節肢動物為主,而且昆蟲佔最大比例。盤古蟾蜍之主要食物類別為鞘翅目、雙翅目與膜翅目;斯文豪氏赤蛙為無尾目、蜘蛛目與雙翅目;梭德氏赤蛙則為雙翅目、蜘蛛目與鞘翅目。三種共域之青蛙食性重疊度雖高,但因棲地區隔或某些食物類別之差異等因素,仍能共域於相同環境。盤古蟾蜍與梭德氏赤蛙雄蛙之攝食策略與生殖季有密切關係:盤古蟾蜍在生殖季有較高的攝食率,梭德氏赤蛙卻在生殖季有較低的攝食率。但兩種之雌蛙與幼蛙之攝食率卻不受生殖季影響。此外,經由食性寬度計算,可知盤古蟾蜍與梭德氏赤蛙在非生殖季時所攝食之食物類別都較生殖季時分散。斯文豪氏赤蛙捕捉數量過少,而且無法確認生殖時間,因此未比較生殖行為與攝食策略之間的關係。另外從食性選擇實驗可知,盤古蟾蜍與梭德氏赤蛙都對環境中之食物有選擇性,並非隨機取食。
Food habits of three sympatric frogs, Bufo bankorensis, Odorrana swinhoana and Rana sauteri, were investigated in the Wu-lin area by stomach content analysis. All three species feed mainly on arthropods, especially on insects. The diet of B. bankorensis consists primarily of the orders Coleoptera, Diptera, and Hymenoptera; that of O. swinhoana of the orders Anura, Araneae, and Diptera; and the diet of R. sauteri of the orders Diptera, Araneae, and Coleoptera. Although food niche overlap of the three sympatric frogs was high, there still existed some differences in diet composition and habitat prefrence. Male B. bankorensis had higher feeding rate during breeding seasons than during non-breeding seasons; but male R. sauteri had lower feeding rate during breeding seasons. Feeding rates of females and juveniles of both species were not impacted by reproduction. Furthermore, food niche breadth of B. bankorensis and R. sauteri was higher during non-breeding seasons than during breeding seasons. There were not enough samples of O. swinhoana to ascertain the breeding seasons, or to determine the relationship between reproduction and feeding strategy. Based on quantitative analysis of pitfall samples of invertebrates and frog stomach contents, both B. bankorensis and R. sauteri showed prefernce to specific prey items, and were not foraging randomly.
