摘要: 現今圖書館建置了相當規模的電子資源館藏,並透過網際網路為使用者提供便捷的資訊服務,大幅提高了滿足使用者資訊需求的能力。如何讓使用者透過簡便的介面,整合檢索分散於網路世界的各項資源,已成為圖書館關心的重要議題之一。使用者在利用電子資源時面臨二大問題,其一是不知圖書館究竟訂購了哪些電子資源,亦無法對所訂購的電子資源有全盤認識;其二是不知所要找尋的資訊在哪一個資料庫中,且需面對不同的檢索畫面及檢索功能。近年來各圖書館紛紛建置電子資源整合檢索系統,但對系統的優使性和使用者滿意度研究未見著墨,實有必要從使用者的角度出發,進行深入的探討。 本研究以臺灣廠商自行開發且發展時間較早,使用者也較多的SmartWeaver整合檢索系統為研究平台,研究對象是以靜宜大學蓋夏圖書館「資料庫達人」活動中,隨機取樣15人進行優使性測試及問卷調查。在優使性測試過程中以電腦螢幕錄製軟體記錄受測者之檢索歷程與放聲思考內容,最後綜合檢索歷程分析結果、問卷調查內容,分析SmartWeaver整合檢索系統之優使性與使用者滿意度。本研究融合Jakob Nielsen的優使性五大構面及十項評估準則,以及ISO 9241-11的效能、效率、滿意度三大面向,同時以Judy H. Jeng的數位圖書館優使性評估模型為基礎,發展出優使性評估模型。 本研究以瞭解使用者之實際使用行為、主觀滿意度與對整合系統之意見,提供圖書館發展整合檢索系統之參考,也作為系統廠商未來開發系統功能之方向。同時希望能夠喚起國內圖書館對此議題之關注,透過持續的評估、修正、再評估的循環,使電子資源整合檢索系統設計更能符合使用者需求,也讓圖書館豐富的電子資源能發揮其最大效益。 研究結果發現,整合檢索系統在提升使用者資訊檢索的效率,具有顯著的幫助,但系統介面設計,應力求極簡化,視覺設計與內容必須簡潔。更應具有彈性的設計,讓使用者能夠感到自由控制檢索過程,提供不同導覽方式,讓具有不同使用經驗的使用者都能輕易使用。使用者對於整合檢索系統整體滿意度頗高,絕大多數會推薦他人使用此系統。但是,使用者利用整合檢索系統時有不同程度的困難點,僅有很少數的使用者可以毫無困難地使用,使用者對於整合檢索系統的個人化服務功能感到困惑且難以利用。圖書館應發展全面的電子資源整合系統,以使用者需求為系統設計主要考量,並且成立優使性小組定期進行整合檢索系統的優使性評估工作。
In order to provide convenience and quick information service from the internet, many libraries develop profound electronic resources nowadays. The increasing capacity of library is able to satisfy the enquiry of information from users. How to enable users to conduct federated search with a very simple and user-friendly interface in order to reach various internet information worldwide is a very important research target. Two major problems are always encountered by users. First, they don't know what electronic resources the libraries have subscribed - they actually don't have comprehensive understanding of the library resources. Second, users don't have any idea of which database they should search for their required information, and moreover, they also need to adapt to various databases with different interface and searching functions. This thesis, which is based on SmartWeaver as research platform, is to investigate the usability testing and questionnaire on random sampling of 15 people from Providence University. The usability testing starts from recording the searching process and thinking aloud content by Camtasia Studio software, then analyzing the usability and satisfaction level of SmartWeaver through integrating the result from searching process and questionnaire. Five structural perspectives and ten assessment criteria from Jakob Nielsen, and the three perspectives of ISO 9241-11 effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, together with digital libraries usability model by Judy H. Jeng are combined in order to develop the usability assessment model. Research has found that many users have the high level of satisfaction of federated search system, and most of them will recommend other people to use this tool. Users meet different kinds of difficulties in using the federated search system. They usually feel confused about the customized services. Federated search increases the efficiency. Its interface and visual design should be clear and simplified. Even though federated search contains plenty of electronic resources, it still doesn't meet all the demands of users. As such, federated search can't replace individual search function completely. Libraries should consider users' needs as the key factor to develop federated search functions with the establishment of a usability group to assess the usability of the systems.
