Easy use, low cost and multi-channel communication characterize the strong points of weblog. More and more university libraries are throwing in manpower and resources to support and provide the weblog services; however, there is only few research has been conducted on the assessment of library weblog services. This study targets the weblog services of Tamkang niversity library and explore from three aspects which are statistical analysis of network traffic flow、feedback of users and experience and feedback of librarians by valuating through Google Analytics ,the questionnaire survey and the interview. The results of this study are as follow: The use of library weblog services differentiates on different types of weblogs. Users are mostly with positive attitude toward university library weblog services. Overall, librarians are supportive to library weblog services. Shortage of man force and overtime communication are the main challenges for execution of university library weblog services. Library’s homepage and search engines are the main outbound channels for library weblog services.Update frequency and content affect the reader''s level of participation of weblog services. Finally the researcher makes five recommendations to university libraries for building weblog services in future: Libraries should regularly assess weblog services. Librarians should pay more attention to weblog’s layouts. Only mission core staffs draw up relevant policies. Providing links on library's homepage raise the weblog's hit numbers. Operating weblog services needs to focus more on content quality.
