摘要: 營建業一直被視為產業的『火車頭』,但其產業極易受景氣波動的影響,當總體經濟下滑時,公共建設與工業建設的需求亦逐年下滑;因此,在總體經濟不景氣的情況下,營建業如何追求持續的生存與發展,一直是學者與經營者最關注的共同議題。本研究採用個案研究法,研究營建相關產業轉型的經營策略,從營建產業的發展現況、面臨環境以及特性分析,藉由個案來探討企業中小型營造廠商的轉型策略。研究發現企業可經由相關多角化經營,利用其競爭優勢、擴展營業項目或開發新市場空間,以確保其永續生存發展。
The construction industry has always been regarded as the 'engine' of the development of all domestic industries. However, this industry is typically categorized as for domestic needs only, which can be influenced by economic fluctuation largely . When the domestic economy depression occurs, the needs of public constructions and industrial buildings would decline as well. Therefore, it has been drawn a lot of attention by both the scholars and the operators on how construction firms survive and develop through economic downturn. This study employed a case study to examine the strategies for the transformation of the construction industry, especially for small and medium sized firms. The study began with a series of secondary data gathering and industrial environment analysis, followed by case study and analysis. The study shows that a company can strengthen its competitive advantages, expand its business lines and develop new market by its related diversification strategy to sustain its survival and continuing growth.
