本研究為探討RA25、RA75及RA250三種再生劑(Recycling agent, RA)於黏滯度42800 poises回收瀝青膠泥(Reclaimed Asphalt Binder, RAB)及再生瀝青混凝土(Recycled Asphalt Concrete, RAC)之影響,其中,RAB影響性方面RA添加量之比例為10%、20%、30%及40%。藉由執行瀝青之針入度、黏滯度、軟化點、延展性與韌性試驗,及馬歇爾試體之間接張力強度與穩定值試驗,以瞭解三種RA對物理及力學性質影響之差異性。
  研究結果顯示添加RA確能改善RAB之可用性,且三種RA中以RA25添加於老化瀝青具有較佳之物理性能改善績效。另由馬歇爾試體力學試驗結果亦發現,添加三種RA中以RA75具有較高之間接張力及穩定值。基於三種RA產生績效及成本之整體評估,使用評分法結合權重法及無因次化評比法均可獲得RA75具有最佳之適用性。
本研究利用黏滯度試驗結果,發展一個老化瀝青再生模式以預測添加RA於RAB對黏滯度之變化,結果顯示與實驗室試驗資料十分符合,該模式能提供公路工程師初步預估添加RA於老化瀝青之用量。
考量工程實務上使用之需求,本研究亦進行再生瀝青混凝土添加RA之成本分析,並擬定適宜採用之單價分析表格式,可供工程單位編製預算之參考。另針對國內瀝青拌合廠使用RA之現況進行調查及分析,並擬定初步對策,可供政府機關製定規範(定)及業界使用之參考。

This paper aims to study the effect of adding different ratios (from 10% to 40%) of three recycling agents (RAs), including RA25, RA75 and RA250, to the reclaimed asphalt binder (RAB) with a viscosity of 42800 poises and also to the reclaimed asphalt concrete (RAC) according to the Marshall mix design method. The study includes a variety of tests designed to determine the differences of physical and mechanical properties between the three RAs in terms of penetration, viscosity, softening point, ductility, toughness of the asphalt binder, as well as indirect tensile strength, and stability value of Marshall specimens.
The results show that adding the recycling agent (RA) could improve the applicability of RAB. Of the three RAs in this study, RA25 offered the best performance when added to asphalt binder. Marshall tests show that the RA75 specimen had higher indirect tensile strength and stability value than the RA25 and RA250 specimens. Based on the consideration of overall performance and cost comparisons, RA75 could be regarded as possessing the best applicability among the three RAs in this study by using score method combined with weighted method and dimensionless rating method, respectively.
This study develops a recycling model to predict the changes in RAB viscosity when adding RAs. It was found that the results of this model conform to the experimental data from laboratory tests. This model allows highway engineers to estimate the amount of RA to be added to the aged binder.
For the purpose of engineering application of the RA, this study also proceeds cost analyses of RAC with RA added, and then provides applicable unit price format for budget planning of an individual engineering unit. Furthermore, the current status of using RA by the contractors in the recycled asphalt concrete are investigated and analyzed for any possible preliminary strategy to be provided as a reference for the government authorities and the engineering field on formulating and applying the necessary specifications and standards.
