教育部修訂高級中學課程綱要,增加了一些新的內容,其中包含絕對值的一些概念;研究者因在高中任教,對於新修訂之課程綱要,很想了解如何將之完整的傳授給學生,故引發研究動機。本研究之主要目的在探討高一學生在絕對值概念學習之主要錯誤類型及造成錯誤的原因。筆者希望藉由此研究結果幫助教師更有效地教學指導學生絕對值相關概念。研究採紙筆測驗和面談相互配合的方式進行,藉由紙筆測驗調查學生在學習絕對值時常犯的錯誤情形,再經面談的過程進而了解學生的思考方式及運算過程中犯錯的原因。研究對象為研究者所服務的彰化地區某高中的一年級學生共125名,研究者利用自編的「絕對值概念學習測驗」對其施測。經由施測結果,我們利用統計分析彙整出學生解絕對值概念問題時9大常見錯誤類型,以及7個犯錯的主要原因。最後,我們根據此研究的成果提出一些建議及未來研究方向,希望此研究成果能提供高中數學教師作為教學及出評量卷的參考。

Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan) revised Senior High School Curriculum Guideline and increased some new content, including the concepts of absolute-value. As a senior high school teacher, regarding the revised curriculum guideline,we would like to know the best way to completely teach students these concepts, and therefore bring out this study. The main purpose of this study is to explore the error types of senior high school students learning absolute-value concept and the most possible reasons leading to these errors. We hope this study would be able to help senior high school teachers teach their students these concepts more efficiently. This study adopts paper test accompanying with interview; by writing test, this study investigates the mistakes that students often made when learning absolute-value, then from the process of interview, it reveals students thinking pattern and the causes of the errors during their calculation process. The subjects of this study were 125 senior high school students in the first grade of one senior high school served in Changhua County. The instruments applied to this study are “Absolute-Value Concept Learning Test” made by the author. According to the result of these tests, we statistically analyzed the data and drew the conclusion of 9 major error types and 7 primary causes of errors when students learning absolute-value concepts. At last,we provide some suggestion and possible future research directions. Hope this study can be helpful and be able to for the reference of senior high school mathematical teachers when teaching and making up examination papers.
