本篇論文主要目的是探討特定語者在1391個所有中文單字中，對於子母音及舌齒音的語音辨識系統，首先所使用的特徵值主要為梅爾頻率倒頻譜係數以及均分倒頻譜係數，再利用K最近鄰居法當作辨識方法。實驗中影響辨識率的實驗因子有「音框數個數」、「音框取樣值」、「特徵值維度」以及「音框擺盪值」等，在這些不同參數中找出最佳組合。
本實驗利用十一位特定語者以及本人錄製的1391個所有中文單字進行辨識，一部分辨識舌齒音在子音音框數為20、特徵值維度為40、子音音框數為20及音框擺盪值為1時，會有最高的平均辨識率97.53%，另一部分辨識1391個所有中文單字在子音音框數為20、特徵值維度為40、子音音框取樣值為128、母音音框取樣值為512及音框擺盪值為2時，會有最高的平均辨識率84.76%。
