本研究以台灣各地區的土壤及囓齒類及草食性動物糞物作為分離來源,共收集1034個土壤與613個動物糞物樣本。從土壤分離出30株、從動物樣本分離出21株的集珠黴屬真菌。利用形態特徵鑑定後可分為13個種,分別為Syncephalis clavata、S. cornu、S. depressa、S. nodosa、 S. obconica、S. sphaerica、 S. vivipara、S. sp.nov.1、S. sp.nov.2、S. sp.nov.3、S. sp.nov.4 、S. sp.nov.5、S. sp.nov.6。另從食品工業發展研究所生物資源保存研究中心(BCRC)及美國佛羅里達大學實驗室取得集珠黴菌株,作為比較參考。

In this study, 1034 soil and 613 dung samples were collected from Taiwan. Totally, 30 Syncephalis strains were isolated from soil and 21 strains from dung. Based on morphological characters, 13 species, Syncephalis clavata、S. cornu、S. depressa、S. nodosa、 S. obconica、S. sphaerica、 S. vivipara、S. sp.nov.1、S. sp.nov.2、S. sp.nov.3、S. sp.nov.4 、S. sp.nov.5、S. sp.nov.6, are classified. Syncephalis cultures were also obtained from BCRC and American Florida University laboratory which were used as references. Molecular biotechnology including polymerase chain reaction (PCR), gene cloning and sequencing were used to obtain the sequences of LSU-D1/D2 and ITS region (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2) of ribosomal DNA (rDNA). The intraspecific similarity of LSU-D1/D2 of Syncephalis is 94.5-99.7%, and the interspecific similarity among Syncephalis species is 78.4-90.4%. On the other hand, the intraspecific similarity of ITS region of Syncephalis species is 96.8-99.3%, and the interspecific similarity among Syncephalis species is 42.1-78.8%. LSU-D1/D2 and ITS region sequences can be clearly separated from each different species, so if morphologically similar species may be accompanied by rDNA sequence analysis results of secondary identification.
