本研究旨在探討飼糧添加植生劑與抗生素對台灣土雞生長性能、血液性狀、屠體性狀與免疫反應之影響,期能開發植生劑取代抗生素作為飼料添加物。本研究分三個試驗進行。試驗一使用5週齡雄性黑羽土雞1440隻,以完全逢機區集設計(rondomized complete block design)分成三個處理組,分別為(1)對照組:基礎飼糧;(2)植生劑組:基礎飼糧添加0.2%植生劑;(3)抗生素組:基礎飼糧添加富樂黴素(flavomycin)1.1 ppm。每處理組2重複,每重複1欄,每欄240隻,採平飼飼養,飼料與水採任食(ad libitium),試驗期為9週。試驗二採用14日齡黑羽土雞264隻,以分層採樣(stratified sampling)逢機採取樣本後分入六個處理組,分別為對照組(基礎飼糧)與4個不同含量植生劑添加組(分別為基礎飼糧添加0.2%、0.4%、0.6%及0.8%植生劑),及抗生素組(基礎飼糧添加200 ppm鋅枯草菌素)。每處理組2重複,每重複2欄(公母分飼),每欄11隻,飼料及飲水任飼,採平飼飼養,飼驗期為13週。試驗三採用53日齡黑羽土雞60隻,公母各半,以分層採樣採取逢機樣本後分入三個處理組,分別為(1)對照組:基礎飼糧;(2)植生劑組:添加0.6%植生劑及(3)抗生素組:基礎飼糧添加200 ppm鋅枯草菌素。每處理組2重複,每重複5隻(公母分飼),採籠飼飼養,5隻為一籠,飼料及飲水任飼,試驗期為5週。
結果顯示,在生長性狀方面,試驗一及試驗二之飼糧添加植生劑可改善飼料轉換率;在血液性狀部分,試驗二顯示飼糧添加0.6%植生劑可增加雞隻血清中E2及P4含量;在腸道性狀方面,試驗二顯示飼糧添加植生劑可增加雞隻十二指腸、空腸及迴腸之絨毛高度,提高腸道絨毛高度與腺窩深度之比;在肌肉性狀部分,試驗一及試驗二均顯示,飼糧添加植生劑及抗生素均會影響雞隻肌肉成分組成,以植生劑作為飼料添加物能增加雞隻腿肉粗脂肪含量;在骨骼性狀方面,試驗一及試驗二顯示,不同濃度植生劑添加量對骨骼性狀有不同影響;在免疫性狀方面,試驗一及試驗二顯示飼糧添加植生劑與抗生素有降低血清中IgG與IgM濃度之趨勢,但試驗三以外源刺激雞隻免疫系統,則發現飼糧添加植生劑對於抗原刺激具有在短期內迅速產生抗體以凝集抗原之作用,能造成雞隻短期間(0-7天)抗體力價上升快速。綜合以上之結果顯示,本試驗所使用之植生劑具有取代抗生素開發作為飼料添加物之潛力。

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation of phytogenics and antibiotics on growth performance, blood and carcass characteristics, and immune responses in Taiwan country chickens. This study was divided into three trials: In trial Ⅰ, 1440 male Taiwan country chickens, 5 weeks of age, were allocated at rondomized complete block design into three groups. Each group was fed one of three experimental diets which were: (1) control: basal diet; (2) phytogenics: basal diet supplemented with 0.2% phytogenics and (3) antibiotics: basal diet added with flavomycin 1.1 ppm, respectively. Each treatmental group contained 2 replicates with 240 birds. A pen was consisted as a replicate experimental unit. Birds were floor feeding, and feed and water were supplied ad libitum. The experiment period was 9 weeks. In trial Ⅱ, 264 Taiwan country chickens (132 male and 132 female), 14 days of age, were randomly allotted at stratified sampling into six groups. Each group was fed one of six experimental diets which were: (1) control: basal diet; (2), (3), (4) and (5) phytogenics: basal diet supplemented with 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8% phytogenics, and (6) antibiotics: basal diet added with Bacitracin-Zinc 200 ppm, respectively. Each treatmental group contained 2 replicate pens (dual feeding) and 11 birds per pen. Birds were floor feeding, and feed and water were supplied ad libitum. The experiment period was 13 weeks. In trial Ⅲ, sixty Taiwan country chickens, 53-day-old, were randomly allotted at stratified sampling into three groups. Each group was fed one of three experimental diets which were: (1) control: basal diet; (2) phytogenics: basal diet supplemented with 0.6% phytogenics and (3) antibiotic: basal diet added with Bacitracin-Zinc 200 ppm. Birds were cage feeding. Each treatmental group contained 2 replicate cages (dual feeding) and 5 birds per cage. Feed and water were supplied ad libitum. The experiment period was 5 weeks.
The results showed that dietary supplementation of phytogenics improved feed conversion rate in trial Ⅰ and trial Ⅱ. In blood characteristics, diet supplemented with 0.6% phytogenics increased the concentration of estradiol and progesterone in trial Ⅱ. In gastestinal characteristics, diet supplemented with phytogenics increased villus height and villus height/crypt depth of duodenum, jejunum and ileum in trial Ⅱ. In muscle charaterristics, trial Ⅰ and trial Ⅱ showed that diet supplemented with phytogenics and antibiotic effected muscle composition. Added phytogenics to diets increased crude fat of thigh muscle. In the bone characteristics, added different levels of phytogenics to diets had different effect on tibia characteristics in trialⅠ and Ⅱ. In immune response, there was a tendency that diets supplemented with phytogenics and antibiotic decreased concentration of IgG and IgM in serum. In trial Ⅲ, dietary supplementation of phytogenics quickly increased serum antibody titer in 0-7 day after antigen administered.
