Youichi, 2000, “Baseball Evaluation Using DEA Benchmark Approach:An Application to Japanese Pacific League-1999”, Asia Pacific Decision Sciences Institute paper. 27.Yue P., 1992, “Data envelopment analysis and commercial bank performance: A primer with applications to Missouri banks”, Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis January, Vol. 74, 31–45. | 摘要: | 中華職棒聯盟成立至今已22年,期間經歷聯盟分立及職棒簽賭案等風風雨雨,近年來在政府的重視下已漸有起色,但相較鄰近亞洲國家職業棒球隊素質仍有一段差距,故本研究將球隊整體的表現分為投手表現及野手表現,以三階段DEA分析各球隊的相對績效,研究樣本為1990年至2010年台灣及日本共12支職業棒球隊,並輔以麥氏生產力指數觀察各球隊21年的績效變動趨勢,以提供球團管理者改善球隊攻守表現的依據。 研究結果顯示,中職球隊投手總績效均值為0.784,野手總績效均值為0.881 ,日職球隊投手總績效均值為0.846 ,野手總績效均值為0.867,相較於日職球隊,中職球隊在投手方面表現較差,野手表現方面則與日職球隊差異不大,且投手績效無效率來源主要來自於純技術無效率。麥氏指數分析方面顯示中職球隊在投手方面表現雖較差但有逐年成長的趨勢,野手表現方面則較穩定,績效衰退主要原因來自於技術變革。 Chinese Professional Baseball League has been established for 22 years. During this 22 years, it experienced Union discreteness and stuck signs the gambling. This terrible professional baseball circumstance has been changed by our government''s endeavors recently, but compared to neighboring Asian countries, our professional baseball team''s skill is still fall behind them. For this reason, my research will separate a team''s performance into pitcher''s performance, fielder''s performance and coach''s performance, and use Three-stage DEA to analyze our baseball teams'' performance and coaches'' managerial capacity. Research samples are professional baseball teams in Taiwan and Japan. Finally, I plan to use Malmquist Index to observed the change of each professional baseball teams'' efficiency. The results show that Taiwan''s professional baseball teams'' pitchers performance mean is 0.784, and fielders performance mean is 0.881. Japan''s professional baseball teams'' pitchers performance mean is 0.846, and fielders performance mean is 0.867. Compared to Japan''s professional baseball teams, Taiwan''s professional baseball teams'' pitchers have worse performance than Japan''s professional baseball teams. It has no obvious difference between Taiwan and Japan''s professional baseball teams'' fielders. Pure technique inefficiency is the main reason of Taiwan''s pitchers bad performance. Malmquist Index shows that Taiwan''s professional baseball teams'' pitchers'' performance get better from 1990. Fielders'' performance has no obvious change from 1990. |
