摘要: 
For education of soil and water conservation concepts, soil and water conservation outdoor classrooms have been set up around the whole country since 1989. The purpose of this study is to confer educational function of outdoor classroom, which including field layout, land use, ecological conservation, disaster prevention education, narration, communications, and popularizing education.

The result showed that Da-Hu soil and water conservation outdoor classroom got highest score, which was the first classroom with large area and good education environment. Da-Hu outdoor classroom has enough rainfall and cool weather which is suitable for plant growth. The plant community has high diversity in this area. The illustration of soil and water conservation infrastructure is complete. The visitors can understand the soil and water conservation practices quickly. The educational environment of Ta-Hu soil and water conservation can be as a guide line for planning other outdoor classroom and which will enhance the soil and water conservation education popularization.
Personal attributes including sex, age, vocation, and education levels did not significant different with the preference of outdoor class room.

本研究的目的在探討中部地區大湖四份、花壇灣雅、草屯風水坪和古坑劍湖水土保持戶外教室教育功能,經由製作問卷方式,探討包括:園區配置、園區土地利用、生態保育資源、防災教育之宣導、園區設施解說完整性、交通可及性、推廣水土保持教育之功效等七個教育功能之評估項目。
調查顯示各項教育功能評估指標均是大湖四份水土保持戶外教室為首。經本研究問卷調查及現場觀察得知,該戶外教室園區設置時間最早、腹地也較廣闊,且其園區雨量充足氣候凉爽,適合生物生長與繁延,因此生物也較為多樣性。其各項設施解說牌較為充足且設置位置也較明顯,對於各項水土保持設施解說也較完備,使參訪者易於了解各個水土保持設施,故可供其他戶外教室爾後規劃更新或改善之參考,以利於水土保持教育之推廣。
個人屬性對於中部地區各個水土保持戶外教室評估的偏好,僅因受測者的居住地有顯著差異;而因受測者的性別、年齡、職業與教育程度等四項有產生偏好的差異則佔較少部分,雖有分數高低差距也很細微。
