摘要以生物濾床法處理含揮發性有機物質(volatile organic compounds,
VOCs)廢氣,具有去除效果佳、操作簡易、省能源、可同時處理多種物質
及無二次公害之優點,為一經濟有效之廢氣處理法。而根據經濟部工業局
之調查,全省之合成樹脂及接著劑工廠共有72家,中部地區就佔了16家,
所產生之VOCs廢氣污染問題相當嚴重應立即設法解決。本研究之主要目的
是利用以木炭塊為介質之生物濾床反應器處理樹脂工廠所排放VOCs廢氣,
包含:乙酸甲酯(methyl acetate)、乙酸乙酯(ethyl acetate)、甲醛(
formaldehyde)、N,N-二甲基乙醯胺(N,N-dimethyl acetamide)、苯乙烯(
styrene)及丙烯(acrylonitrile)等六種VOCs。研究內容包括:生物濾
床反應器之設置啟動、微生物馴養、不同操作條件下之系統去除率、微生
物菌相觀察,並評估生物濾床法處理樹脂工廠廢氣之可行性。試驗結果顯
示:當反應之溫度控制在25±2℃,空床停留時間為1-6分鐘,營養源灑水
量0.235m3/m3.day下,進行六種單一VOCs廢氣進流濃度及空床停留時間之
變換試驗。試驗結果顯示:若去除率要達到90%以上,則各組生物濾床反
應器之進流有機體積負荷分別為:乙酸甲酯10.1kg/m3.day、乙酸乙
酯9.08kg/m3.day、甲醛0.0143kg/m3.day、N,N-二甲基乙醯胺0.317kg/
m3.day、苯乙烯0.561kg/m3.day及丙烯14.5kg/m3.day。若以中部地區
樹脂工廠所排放VOCs廢氣之最高濃度為生物濾床VOCs進流濃度,當停留時
間為6min時,去除率皆可達90%以上;當停留時間為1min時,去除率亦可
生物率床之二氧化碳濃度、滲出液COD值、滲出液SS值及VSS值、生物污泥
濃度皆隨VOCs進流有機體積負荷之增加而升高;除了處理含N,N-二甲基乙
醯胺之反應器外,滲出液中之懸浮固體物(SS)中絕大部份為揮發性懸浮固
體物(VSS);而生物濾床之壓力損失則隨有機體積負荷、氣體流量、生物
污泥濃度增加而升高。生物濾床內微生物菌相之觀察結果顯示,微生物菌
相之菌種及菌數會隨著進流VOCs廢氣、有機體積負荷及反應器高度之不同
而有很大之差異,反應器第一段之生物污泥量濃度明顯大於後幾段,微生
物菌數亦相對較多。

ABSTRACTThe odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
exhausted from industrial factories, wastewater treatment
plants, and sanitary landfills may produce adverse effects on
the public health as well as welfare. Therefore, the development
of innovative, cost effective treatment alternatives is
necessary to maintain environment of high quality. The purpose
of this study deals with biofiltration of contaminated airstream
containing single methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, formaldehyde,
N,N-dimethylacetamide, styrene and acrylonitrile. Experiments
were conducted under the following condition: the temperature
was kept at 252oC,the system empty bed retention time was
varied from 1 to 6 minutes, and the nutrient feeding rate was
0.235m3/m3.day. If the removal efficiency could be reached 90%
under the following organic loading rate : methyl acetate
10.1kThe surface morphology of the attached biofilem in a
biofilter was examined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM).
The populations of attached biofilem vary with different VOCs,
organic loading rates and the height of biofilter. The biomass
concentrations are higher in the first stage than those of in
the subsequent stages.
