Re-Engineering and Strategy Formulation for the Wholesale Fish Markets
1. The objectives of this research:
To determine the optimal locations and their sizes for the wholesale fish markets by considering the regional development and consumer demand. Then the value innovation and value delivery chain are used to determine the innovation strategy and procedures for the wholesale fish markets.
2. The key tasks involved
(1) Literature survey
(2) To organize field trips to wholesale fish markets in order to know the operational procedure in these markets.
(3)To host meetings with experts and top managers of wholesale fish markets in order to know the current operational bottlenecks.
(4)To offer training programs to the employee of wholesale fish markets.
(5)To use Linear Programming to determine the optimal locations and their sizes for the wholesale fish markets
(6) To evaluate the performance of the wholesale fish markets by using value innovation and value delivery chain
(7) To write the final report and give suggestion to government for setting policy.
