The Cost-Benefit Analysis of Traceability System in the Agriculture Products
Food traceability have gained significant importance in Taiwan following a number of major food safety failures in recent years. The issues of food stafety failures have increasingly prompted agriculture government officials and sector operators to implement traceability systems in Taiwan. The cost and benefit associated with traceability, focusing on fruit and vegetable sectors are explored in this study. The purpose of this research is to find the cost and benefit of implementing food traceability from selected respondents. Personal interview and artifical neural networks approach will be employed to examine the cost and benefit of traceability system. The research results will be discussed. Hopefully, the research results will be recommended for the government sector for promoting traceability systems.
