分布情形,並進一步於選定之蜂場進行傳統化學防治方法成效評估,同時研發雄蜂巢片誘捕蜂

The main goal of this project is to study the occurrence and population distribution of the parasitic pest of honeybee, Varroa mites (Varroa jacobsoni (Oudemans)), in the apiaries of Taiwan. The effects of traditional acaricides for Varroa mites will be tested. Meantime the drone frames capture and varroa screen & sticky board methods will be developed too. This research attempts to establish non-chemical treatment techniques of the Varroa mites, reducing chemical acaricide use and pollution of the honeybee products. This development of non-chemical treatments of the Varroa mites can be applied in the control program and the animal quarantine of honeybee in our country.
