養牛場庫蠓與廄刺蠅密度監測與防治技術研發

Abstract

This project aims establish new vector control model to the biting midge, Culicoides, for the emergency vector control as outbreak of bovine ephemeral fever. Stable fly is one of major blood feeding pest to pastured cattle in dairy, course serious health problem to dairy cows. This project aims to development the efficient trap for stable fly control, base on the color taxis, sharp preference of both female and male adults of stable fly.

本計畫探討除蟲菊類殺蟲劑施用於牛隻身體之可行性，以期建構疫情發生時養牛場病媒庫蠓緊急防治之新模式。此外，廄刺蠅是危害養牛場牛隻健康的主要害蟲之一，本計畫擬利用廄刺蠅對顏色具有趨性之原理，設計不同波長色光、不同形狀裝置，搭配不同材質之黏著劑，開發適合應用於養牛場誘捕廄刺蠅成蟲之捕蟲裝置，以協助酪農有效防治廄刺蠅危害問題。
