本計畫的主要目的在於: (1) 探討外銷葡萄脫粒問題與防治的方法; (2) 噴佈含鈣殺菌劑,藉以減輕葡萄灰黴病與生理果粒脫落的問題; (3) 發展外銷果蔬低溫冷藏與高溫蒸熱檢疫處理技術; (4) 搜集與鑑定台灣植物病原子囊菌之標本; (5) 編撰台灣植物病原子囊菌圖鑑; (6) 探討植物病原頂頭孢菌屬真菌的寄主範圍; (7) 研製快速偵測植物病原頂頭孢菌真菌的選擇性培養基; (8) 發展石竹科細菌性萎凋病菌的快速且靈敏之偵測與鑑定技術; (9) 蒐集病原線蟲檢疫資料,建立線蟲處理方法及設立檢疫隔離之設施; (10) 開發香蕉黃葉病菌之RAPD快速偵測技術;並針對病原菌之不同生理小種,找出有效鑑別的PCR引子,藉以提供進口檢疫之用.

The purposes of this project are to (1) establish sulfur dioxide fumigation technique and investigate its effect on grape berry quality; (2) spray calcium and mycorrhizae fertilizer on grape to reduce gray mold disease and increase the storage quality of berry; (3) develop chilling and heating treatment techniques to eliminate melon fly and the oriental fruit fly on various cultivars of muskmelon; (4) collect and identify specimens of plant pathogenic Ascomycetes from Taiwan; (5) edit a monograph of plant pathogenic Ascomycetes from Taiwan; (6) investigate host range and ecology of Acremonium sp., the causal agent of lettuce brown spot; (7) develop a selective medium for rapid detection of Acremonium sp. from plant materials and soils; (8) develop and establish the detection techniques for Burkholderia caryophylli; (9) collect information of plant nematode quarantine in the world and establish inspection skill for imported plants; (10) develop a rapid detection technique for Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense, the causal agent of Banana yellows.
