摘要: 
本發明係關於水飛薊素(silymarin)用於抑制蛋白質醣化及高度醣化終產物(Advanced glycation endproducts,AGEs)生成的新用途。本發明進一步揭示水飛薊素用於減緩糖尿病患者因體內糖毒性物質(glycotoxins)生成或累積所引致之生理負荷,並藉以改善糖尿病相關併發症之用途。
