傳統的林業資料處理屬單一固定的靜態數字, 無法提供林業經營上呈現空
間位置多樣化的資訊和圖形, 是以迅速建立電腦化的圖籍資訊系統變得刻
不容緩; 本研究以中興大學新化實驗林場為試區, 探討森林經營資訊系統
資料庫的建立,以及應用地理資訊系統(Geographic Information System;
GIS) 技術整合各經營資訊主題資料, 解決本林場在水源涵養林經營上迫
切需求的樹種選擇問題, 研究結果為:一、由於資料庫的建立, 改進了傳
統的資料儲存方式, 避免資料年久湮失之虞; 且經數化、轉換處理建檔之
主題圖計有等高線、坡度、坡向、土地利用型、土壤種類、林班區劃以及
道路系統、水系分布、行政界線等圖檔, 可隨時經由套疊(Overlay) 、交
集(Intersect) 、擷取(Clip)等方式迅速處理經營上的問題。二、航照判
釋技術對調查結果具有相當決定性, 應用此技術於土地利用型資料的取
得, 因立體像片對之使用, 可提高判釋精度, 除省卻地面調查, 資料復具
即時性。三、以林場身為水源涵養林的角色定位, 在造林樹種的選擇上,
透過整合之關聯式資料庫中坡度、坡向、海拔高及土壤等因子可做較客觀
之選定。四、以林場現有主要造林樹種大葉桃花心木之生育環境條件, 探
討其合理程度分布, 提供造林樹種選擇之參考。

The forest management data manipulated in ancient are single
and statics. The database could not be showed in spa- tial
variation, multiple dynamics information and graphic. So
establishment of graphic computer-based information sys- tem is
required. The technique of Geographic Information System(GIS)
can do such a favor for presenting spatial data and integrating
information. In the study, we collect and analyze data of Hsin-
Hua Experimental Forest Station, Na- tional Chung Hsing
University. Genamap/GIS was used to in- tegrate the maps and
attribute data of database. Decision making in planting
species selection is very important in the management of water
conservation forest. Results of the research are as following:
1.Developing the database, we can improve the data storage and
avoid data loss. From digitizing and transforming from graphic
format to topographic format, we built the- matic maps which
are including elevation, slope, aspect, landuse, soil, forest
subdivision, transportation system, drainage system and
administrative division, etc. Using the method of overlaying,
intersecting and cliping func- tions, we can solve many
problems in forest management. 2.Airphoto interpretation
technique affect the results of landuse data greatly. Using
stereogram, we can improve the accuracy of photointerpretation
significantly. 3.We can use the integrating relational database
of layers, such as slope, aspect, elevation and soil to get
alterna- tives of planting species selected for water resource
conservation. 4.We try to evaluate the landuse suitability of
large-leaved mahogany growed in Hsin-Hua Experimental Forest
Station, and present the species-selection alternatives in the
area.
