We deal with the question of the periodic modulation signal of the transient transmission and of the photon echo signal in polar semiconductor quantum dots. The theoretical argumentation is based on the numerical calculation of the electronic spectral densities within the two-level model of quantum dot, with a single electron coupled to LO phonons, the coupling treated in the self-consistent Hartree-Fock approximation to the self-energy. The theoretical results are compared with experiments on CdSe and InAs nanocrystals.
