挫屈是一個複雜的結構問題,在一般的樑設計裡是一個重要的考慮因素,這是由於挫屈具有突發性及災難性本質。雖然有許多關於雙對稱及單對稱工形樑的挫屈研究,但是卻少有關於天車樑(斷面是由工形上面加槽形組成)的挫屈研究。目前的AISC-ASD和AISC-LRFD規範雖然沒有提供天車樑的挫屈設計公式但卻提供單對稱工形樑的設計公式。當這些公式用於天車樑的特殊斷面時很顯然是低估了天車樑的挫屈能力。由此可知,目前對於天車樑的設計存有三個問題,等待解決。
1.目前AISC-ASD和AISC-LBFD規範沒有提供合適公式做為天車樑的設計標準。
2.目前工程師所用的近似公式,低估天車樑的實際強度,低估的程度到底如何?
3.天車樑的正確設計公式到底如何?
本研究針對這些存在問題,提出解決方法如下:
1.理論公式推導
針對這種特殊斷面,提出理論分析。根據傳統能量法與開口薄壁斷面(open thin-walled section)觀念推導彈性挫屈公式。非彈性挫屈部份則採用目前AISC-LRFD作法。即在M□(斷面塑性極限強度)與M□(斷面彈性極限強度)間取直線關係。如此樑的整個破壞行為很清楚地被定義出來。
2.簡化模數(Simplified Model)
理論公式(指彈性部份)的使用,固然提供計算的依據,可惜理論公式牽涉到一些斷面係數的取得,這些係數包括單對稱係數β□、翹曲係數C□及扭力係數J等。這些係數的取得也往往需要藉助於電腦的使用。為了克服這種困難,本研究提出簡化公式來替代理論公式,這些簡化公式除了具備簡單計算的基本要求外,同時保有合理的精確度。

Although substantial research on lateral-torsional buckling has been done on both doubly and singly I-shaped beams, there is a shortage of research in the crane runway beam, which is a rolled wide flange beam with a channel welded to its top flange. Because of the lack of this information, the current AISC-LRFD specification provides no specific provision for the design of crane runway beams. However, the specification does provide approximate formulas which are derived based on singly symmetric I-shaped beams. It is obvious that the lateral-torsional buckling capacity of runway beams has been underestimated by the AISC-LRFD formulas. A theoretical analysis is presented to obtain the elastic lateral-torsional buckling strength of runway beams. Although the theoretical formulas can be used to calculate the buckling strength, the evaluation of some section properties are not straightforward and the effort required is prohibitive in routine design. Because of this, this study proposes the simplified models to replace the theoretical ones.
