本試驗以砂耕盆栽法在溫室中觀察臺灣杉及杉木之菌根苗與非菌根苗於不同磷肥度下的生長反應。苗木二個月大時進行接種Glomus mosseas內生菌根菌孢子,再經一個月後開始以0.0125Mm、0.025Mm、0.05Mm、0.125mM、0.25mM及0.5Mm六種磷肥濃度處理,觀察苗木的生長及養分吸收的差異。結果顯示:不論臺灣杉及杉木之菌根苗皆具有較高的磷濃度與吸收量,而非菌根苗則具有較高的鉀、氮濃度;在低磷肥處理(0.0125Mm)菌根對幼苗生長具有極顯著的生長助益,惟其效益因磷肥濃度的增加而遞減漸趨不顯
