本研究以南投縣惠蓀林場關刀溪生態系相鄰的三種不同林型(林、次生林、杉木林)為調查試區,自1988年9月至1999年8月利用收集網收集枯落物,探討枯落物養分濃度與迴歸量之季節性變化。三種林分枯落物碳濃度平均在40.27~43.07%,氮濃度在0.86~2.29%,磷濃度在0.06~0.26%,鉀濃度在0.47~1.31%,鈣濃度在0.25~1.00%,鎂濃度在0.18~0.27%間。全年枯落物養分迴歸量碳為1.93~2.88t/ha;氮為41.48~104.30 kg/ha,磷為3.40~8.93 kg/h
