Seedling growth of Zea mays L., cultivar Tainung 351 (TNG 351), was
inhibited by 10 ?笐? M ABA (abscisic acid) applied to roots at V4 satge (Weed
Sci. Bull. 15: 195-168). But, how does the ABA inhibit seedling growth? More
results in this study

玉米臺農351號幼苗V4期在10?笐弸 ABA (abscisic acid)處理下,生長受到抑
制( Weed Sci. Bull. 15:159-168 )。 本試驗乃進一步研究發現玉米幼苗在 10 ?笐? M
ABA 處理後第一天第四葉之 CER ( carbondioxide exchange rate )即降至 76 %,而蒸
散作用更降至 61 %, 二者在三天內之變化趨勢相似, 顯示 ABA 控制氣孔行為嚴重影響
CER 的下降;此外,葉片單位葉綠素中 Rubisco 及 PE
