屏東平原位於臺灣西南地帶,沿海低窪地區時常發生嚴重淹水災害,因此探討當地水文變遷有助於屏東地區永續經營與管理,本研究主要目的是分析屏東地區流域水文變遷,分析高屏溪、東港溪與林邊溪河川流量變遷、河川含砂量、河川輸砂量變遷與侵蝕速率變遷。本研究使用1966年至2008年高屏溪、東港溪與林邊溪河川流量-河川含砂量資料建立迴歸模式以推測1966年至2008年高屏溪荖濃流量測站、東港溪潮州流量測站與林邊溪新埤流量測站日平均含砂量,研究結果發現高屏溪荖濃流量測站最大月平均流量(6月)是最小月平均流量(1月)的11倍,東港溪潮州流量測站最大月平均流量(8月)是最小月平均流量(4月)的17倍,林邊溪新埤流量測站最大月平均流量(8月)是最小月平均流量(4月)的114倍。高屏溪荖農流量測站年平均輸砂量392萬公噸為東港溪潮州流量測站13萬公噸的30倍及林邊溪新埤流量測站39萬公噸的10倍,林邊溪新埤流量測站年平均輸砂量39萬公噸為東港溪潮州流量測站13萬公噸的3倍。1966年至2008年高屏溪荖濃流量測站年平均侵蝕速率1.8mm為東港溪潮州流量測站.3mm的6.6倍及林邊溪新埤流量測站5mm的3.9倍,林邊溪新埤流量測站年平均侵蝕速率.5mm為東港溪潮州流量測站3mm的1.7倍。

Pin Tung Plain is located in the southwestern area of Taiwan. Floods often occur in coastal areas. Therefore, to examine hydrological changes of this area is helpful to the sustainable development and management of the Pin Tung area. The aim of this study is to examine hydrologic changes in the watersheds of the Pin Tung area. This study analyzes temporal changes in stream discharge, sediment content, suspended load, and denudation rates of Kao Pin Creek, Tung Kang Creek and Lin Pien Creek. This study uses the rating equations to estimate daily average sediment content from daily mean discharge of the Kao Pin Creek, Tung Kang Creek and Lin Pien Creek in the period of 1966 to 2008. Results show that in the Kao Pin Creek the mean discharge of June is 11 times of the mean discharge of January. In the Tung Kang Creek the mean discharge of August is 17 times of the mean discharge of April. In the Lin Pien Creek the mean discharge of August is 114 times the mean discharge of April.
The annual suspended load is .13 million tons at the the Tung Kang Creek station. The annual suspended load is .39 million tons at the the Lien Pien Creek station. The annual denudation rate is 1.8 mm at the Kao Pin Creek station. The annual denudation rate is .3 mm at the Tung Kang station. The annual denudation rate is .5 mm at the Lien Pien Creek station.
