食蛇龜(亦名黃緣閉殼龜)(Cuora flavomarginata),為CITES附錄Ⅱ之物種,目前面臨棲地開發破壞、飲食及寵物市場大量需求,各地族群數量銳減。本文以台灣地區食蛇龜甲殼形態特徵探討雌雄兩性別間差異,及其於地理分布上,是否如同基因分析結果,已產生地理分化現象,以及地理分群間差異,並嘗試由甲殼形態特徵建立判別性別或判別地理分群之模型,對於未知性別或來源的個體,提供一個判別的依據。
