無線區域網路IEEE 802.11a標準於1999年制定,是採用正交分頻多工(OFDM)的調變方式,與現今市面上最多被使用的IEEE 802.11b標準的產品提供之11Mbps資料傳輸速率比較,IEEE 802.11a 快了將近五倍(54Mbps)。在本論文中,吾人將在OFDM系統下針對三種非理想效應做性能分析:頻率偏移、I-Q不平衡及通道估測誤差。除了在衰減通道非理想效應下推導位元錯誤率之理論值外,吾人亦針對各個效應做模擬,以確認理論值的推導無誤。

The wireless local area network (WLAN) IEEE 802.11a standard, which uses the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) was finally approved in 1999. 802.11a products transmit and receive data at speeds up to 54 Mbps, five times faster than 802.11b products, which operate up to 11 Mbps. In this thesis, we examine the SNR degradation due to several non-ideal effects such as carrier frequency offset, I/Q imbalance, and channel estimation error in the OFDM-based WLAN system. The average BER over fading channel with non-ideal effects is derived. Furthermore, the simulation results are used to verify the theoretical analysis.
