The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the emotional labor and self-efficacy of police station chiefs under precincts of Taichung City Police Bureau. This research investigated the current status of emotional labor and self-efficacy by examining background variables, in order to provide the research findings to supervisors of police agency for reference.
In this study, 'emotional labor and self-efficacy questionnaire' was adapted based on literary reviews and used as a research tool to the police station chiefs under precincts of Taichung City Police Bureau, a total of 105 valid questionnaires was obtained. The statistics data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, correlation and regression.
The results indicate that: (1) among the personal background factors of police station chiefs, 'age' correlates to 'manipulation techniques for individual or office mission' factor; 'ranks' correlates to 'interaction levels', 'interpersonal relationships' and 'judgment' factors; 'workload of police station served in' correlates to 'interaction levels'; (2) 'service seniority' and 'education levels' have no significant relations to emotional labor or self-efficacy; (3) finally, the research shows that the relationship between emotional labor and self-efficacy of police station chiefs indeed exists.
From the study, three recommendations are formed: (1) for the heavy-loaded police stations, strengthen the administrative authority of second deputy chief; (2) for the suburban police stations, reinforce the police forces and expand the volunteers forces; (3) set age threshold to police station chief selection system.

本研究旨在探討臺中市政府警察局所屬派出所所長情緒勞務與自我效能關係之現況及其相關,以及探究?同背景變項情緒?務與自我效能之差?情形,以期將研究發現及建議提供警政主管決策參考。
本研究經探討文獻後改編「情緒?務與自我效能之調查問卷」作為研究工具,以臺中市政府警察局所屬分局之派出所所長為研究對象進行普查,施?問卷調查法取得 105份有效問卷,隨後以描述統計、單因子變??分析、Pearson 積差相關等方法進?統計分析。
經本研究重要發現有:1.所長個人背景因素中在「年齡」對於個人或組織欲完成之任務所能掌握、控制之程?;「階級」與「互動程度」、「人際關係」及「判斷力」因素層面以及任職「派出所繁重程度」在「互動程度」因素層面均發現有差異性存在。2.「從警年資」及「教育程度」無論在情緒勞務與自我效能均無明顯的差異性存在。3.最後發現派出所所長情緒勞務與自我效能二者確有關連性之存在。
經本研究重要發現有:1.在所長個人背景因素中「年齡」在「個人或組織欲完成之任務所能掌握、控制之程?」因素層面;「階級」在「互動程度」、「人際關係」及「判斷力」因素層面以及任職「派出所繁重程度」在「互動程度」因素層面均發現有差異性存在。 2.「從警年資」及「教育程度」無論在情緒勞務或自我效能方面均無明顯的差異性存在。 3.最後發現派出所所長情緒勞務與自我效能二者確有關連性之存在。
因此本研究歸納有3項建議:1.強化繁重派出所第二副所長職權功能。2.充實郊區型派出所警力配置及擴大協勤民力運用。3.派出所所長遴選規定應有年齡門檻。
