Basketball is one of the most popular sports for domestic college students. By participating in team sports, college students develop regular exercise habits, problem solving skills and teamwork spirit, which will influence their personal abilities and career planning. At present, the main competition of the university is the University Basketball Association (UBA) that divided into open and general groups. The open group athletes are mostly be trained from an early age, while the general group are participated by people who are interested in basketball. The purpose of this study are exploring the relevant situation and predictive of career self-efficacy and employability of the general group atheltes, comparing differences in career self-efficacy and employability between student athletes with different background variables, and analyzing current situation. Career self-efficacy in this study includes five variables: self-appraisal, gathering occupational information, career goal selection, planning future, and problem solving. Employability includes six variables: teamwork and leadership, learning and coaching, communication and presentation skills, problem-solving skills, adaptability and resilience, work attitude and responsibility. This study is based on the participation of general group players in the 106-year Unerversity Basketball Association. Using Amos Graphics 20 and IBM SPSS Statistics 21 as the research tools for descriptive statistics. Using t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffé test, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis to test research hypotheses. The results of the study are as follows: 1. Female college student athletes are better able to understand their own abilities in career development, and male college student athletes have better communication and expression skills. 2. Senior student athletes are better at understanding their career goals. Their career self-efficacy has grown steadily during the first year of their senior year, but their employability has not grown significantly. 3. Choosing different major does not affect career self-efficacy or employability, but having an interest in what you are learning has a significant impact on career self-efficacy and employability. 4. Career self-efficacy and employability have been significantly improved in junior college students who have more than one year of work experience. 5. The number of training hours per week does not affect career self-efficacy or employability. 6. Academic performance affects self-appraisal ability and does not affect employability. 7. Career self-efficacy is significantly related to employability. 8. Career self-efficacy can predict employability.
